About Scientific Journal Finder

We built this free tool for researchers who spend hours searching for the right journal. Our mission is simple: make scientific publishing more accessible by helping every researcher, at any career stage, find the best-fit indexed journal for their work in minutes, not days.

Why This Tool Exists

After completing a research paper and a review article, the next obvious step was finding the right journal to submit to. It sounded simple enough. It was not.

Every major publisher had their own journal finder: Elsevier had one, Wiley had one, Springer had one, Taylor & Francis had another. Each tool only searched within that publisher's own catalogue. So the process looked something like this: paste your abstract into Elsevier's tool, check those results, then go to Wiley's tool and paste it again, then Springer's, then Taylor & Francis. And those are just four of the dozens of publishers with Scopus-indexed journals.

It was repetitive, time-consuming, and still incomplete. After going through four or five different tools, there was still no way to compare results side by side: no unified view of quartile, impact factor, APC, and decision time all in one place. Just scattered tabs, copied notes, and a shortlist assembled manually.

Every researcher who has been through journal selection knows this feeling: hours spent on something that should take minutes. The research was done. The manuscript was written. The last thing anyone wants at that point is spending a week just figuring out where to submit.

That experience was the reason Scientific Journal Finder was built. One tool. One search. Journals from all major publishers (Elsevier, Springer Nature, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, MDPI, Frontiers, IEEE, and 160+ others) matched against your abstract in one place, with quartile, impact factor, open access status, APC, and first decision time visible on every result card. No switching between tabs. No repeated pasting. Just a ranked shortlist you can actually work with.

This tool was built by a researcher with a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and published work in peer-reviewed journals. The frustration of manually searching across publisher tools was the direct motivation for building Scientific Journal Finder.
